Midlands One Stop
Midlands One Stop, also known as One-Stop Midlands Park Centre, is a shopping
center situated in Pulau Tikus, Penang. During its inauguration in the
mid-1990s, it stood as one of the more upscale malls in Penang. The primary
anchor tenant upon its opening was Looking Good Departmental Store and
Supermarket. Notable tenants included Popular Bookshop, Watson, KFC, McDonald's,
Kenny Roger's, and Dave's Deli.
However, Midlands One Stop faced significant challenges during the Asian
Financial Crisis of the late 1990s, which had a detrimental impact on the local
economy. As a result, the Looking Good chain of department stores, serving as
the anchor tenant, had to cease operations. Since then, Midlands One Stop has
struggled to secure another anchor tenant of comparable stature. The decline in
visitor footfall over time also led to the departure of Popular Bookshop.
It is worth mentioning that Midlands One Stop is home to the Adventist College
of Nursing & Health Sciences, which is situated on Level 7 of the shopping
center.

For those seeking to visit Midlands One Stop, it is conveniently located on
Jalan Burma, across from the Adventist Hospital. Rapid Penang Bus 101, 104, and
304 provide transportation options, with a bus stop located within close
proximity to the shopping center.
