Penang Plaza

Penang Plaza, located at 126 Burmah Road, stands as one of the earliest shopping malls established in Penang. The mall encompasses a three-storey podium topped by a seven-storey office block, spanning an extensive area of nearly 60,000 square meters along Burmah Road. With a total lettable area of 91,000 square feet and 88 parking bays, Penang Plaza shares the same plot of land as the neighboring Hotel Royal, both of which were acquired by Singapore-based Hotel Royal in July 2008.

Giant Supermarket currently serves as the anchor tenant of Penang Plaza, replacing the original anchor tenant, FIMA supermarket, which operated under various names, including Cold Storage. In 2009-2010, Penang Plaza underwent a comprehensive makeover, revitalizing its appearance with a new and sophisticated façade, complemented by redesigned interior finishes.
